Although we specialize in refinishing/refurbishing “Current and past” Kittinger furniture, we have done many other valuable brands of furniture as well. For desks, we would include revitalizing the top; this includes cleaning and polishing the leather (if present). We can replace the leather as well with high quality Garrett Leather. We are able to do dining tables, occasional tables, and any other wood furniture. We also reupholster furniture with your own material selection.
Refinishing includes removing all the hardware and polishing it to your preference, bright or antiqued. We hand strip the desk, or the wood item, then send it back to the cabinet department where it is sanded as if it was a new piece of furniture. After sanding, then it goes back into the finish area where our multi step finish is applied. We are not always able to remove all the imperfections but we are usually able to repair most damage. A great piece of furniture will display the minor imperfections looking like a “gently used” antique when finished. We also try to replace missing hardware or replace it with time sensitive equivalents with the customer’s approval. We will match existing furniture, providing a pre job sample for your approval upon deposit.
